Shipping Policy

SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY

Last Updated: 17 August 2026

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how physical orders placed through the Kajal Maharaj Website are processed, dispatched and delivered.

This Policy applies to physical products only.

Digital products, including eBooks and downloadable resources, are delivered electronically and are governed by our separate Digital Products Policy and Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit any rights available to consumers under applicable South African law.

1. DELIVERY AREA

We currently deliver physical products within South Africa, subject to courier coverage and service availability.

Delivery may be available to:

  • major cities;

  • metropolitan areas;

  • regional areas;

  • towns;

  • selected rural areas; and

  • other locations serviced by our courier partners.

Certain locations may attract additional delivery charges or longer delivery times.

We reserve the right to decline delivery to locations that cannot reasonably or safely be serviced by our delivery partners.

2. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

International shipping may be introduced from time to time.

Where international shipping is available, the applicable:

  • destination countries;

  • shipping costs;

  • estimated delivery periods;

  • customs requirements;

  • import duties; and

  • taxes

will be communicated during checkout or on the relevant Website page.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or destination-country charges imposed on international orders.

3. ORDER PROCESSING

Once your payment has been successfully completed, your order will enter our fulfilment process.

Orders are generally processed on business days, excluding:

  • Saturdays;

  • Sundays; and

  • South African public holidays.

Our normal processing period is approximately:

1–3 business days

unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page.

Processing time refers to the period required to prepare your order before it is handed to the courier.

It does not include the courier's delivery time.

4. ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES

Once an order has been dispatched, estimated delivery periods within South Africa are generally:

Major Metropolitan Areas

Approximately 2–4 business days

Regional Areas

Approximately 3–6 business days

Outlying or Remote Areas

Approximately 4–8 business days

These are estimates only and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Actual delivery times may differ depending on:

  • the delivery location;

  • courier capacity;

  • order volumes;

  • public holidays;

  • weather conditions;

  • road conditions;

  • regional service availability;

  • security incidents;

  • strikes;

  • operational disruptions; or

  • other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

5. PEAK PERIODS

During high-volume periods, delivery may take longer than usual.

These periods may include:

  • Black Friday;

  • Cyber Monday;

  • Christmas;

  • New Year;

  • major promotional campaigns;

  • product launches;

  • influencer campaigns;

  • limited-edition releases; and

  • other periods of unusually high demand.

Where possible, we will communicate significant expected delays.

Customers purchasing gifts or products required by a specific date are encouraged to order early.

6. SHIPPING COSTS

Shipping charges will ordinarily be displayed during checkout before payment is completed.

Shipping costs may depend on:

  • delivery address;

  • order value;

  • parcel size;

  • parcel weight;

  • courier service;

  • regional surcharge; and

  • promotional shipping offers.

From time to time, we may offer:

  • free delivery;

  • discounted delivery;

  • free delivery above a specified order value; or

  • promotional delivery rates.

Any conditions attached to such promotions will be communicated on the Website.

7. FREE SHIPPING PROMOTIONS

Where we offer free shipping above a certain purchase amount, eligibility is generally calculated based on the final qualifying order value after:

  • discount codes;

  • promotional deductions;

  • store credits; and

  • other applicable reductions

have been applied.

Certain heavy, oversized, remote-area or special-delivery products may be excluded from free shipping promotions where clearly disclosed.

8. COURIER PARTNERS

We use third-party courier and logistics providers to deliver physical orders.

Once your order has been dispatched, you may receive:

  • a tracking number;

  • courier information;

  • tracking link;

  • SMS notification;

  • email notification; or

  • other delivery updates.

Courier providers operate independently and may have their own delivery procedures.

We will nevertheless assist customers with legitimate delivery problems where reasonably possible.

9. TRACKING YOUR ORDER

Where tracking is available, tracking information will normally be sent after the order has been dispatched.

Tracking information may take several hours after dispatch to become active in the courier's system.

If tracking has not updated for an unusually long period, please contact us at:

kajalmaharajshop@gmail.com

Please include your:

  • name;

  • order number; and

  • tracking number where available.

10. DELIVERY ADDRESS

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address during checkout.

Please ensure that the following information is correct:

  • recipient name;

  • street address;

  • unit or apartment number;

  • complex or building name;

  • suburb;

  • city or town;

  • province;

  • postal code;

  • telephone number; and

  • any relevant delivery instructions.

We cannot guarantee that an address can be corrected after the order has entered fulfilment.

11. INCORRECT DELIVERY ADDRESS

If you notice an error in your delivery address, contact us as soon as possible.

If the order has not yet been dispatched, we will attempt to correct the address.

If the parcel has already been dispatched, additional courier charges may apply to:

  • redirect the parcel;

  • recall the parcel;

  • resend the parcel; or

  • deliver to a corrected address.

Where an incorrect address was supplied by the customer, such additional charges may be for the customer's account.

12. CHANGE OF ADDRESS AFTER DISPATCH

Once an order has been handed to the courier, we cannot guarantee that the delivery address can be changed.

Any requested address change is subject to:

  • courier approval;

  • operational feasibility;

  • additional charges; and

  • possible delivery delays.

13. DELIVERY ATTEMPTS

Courier providers may make one or more delivery attempts.

If delivery cannot be completed because:

  • nobody is available to receive the parcel;

  • access to the property is unavailable;

  • the recipient cannot be contacted;

  • security refuses access;

  • the address is incomplete; or

  • delivery information is incorrect,

the courier may reschedule delivery or return the parcel.

Additional delivery charges may apply where re-delivery is required because of circumstances attributable to the customer.

14. RECEIVING YOUR PARCEL

Please ensure that someone is available at the delivery address to receive the parcel.

Depending on the courier and service selected, the recipient may be required to:

  • sign for the parcel;

  • provide a delivery PIN;

  • confirm their name;

  • confirm receipt digitally; or

  • provide other reasonable proof of delivery.

Any authorised person present at the delivery address may, where permitted by the courier, receive the parcel on your behalf.

15. DELIVERY TO WORKPLACES, COMPLEXES AND ESTATES

If delivering to:

  • an office;

  • business premises;

  • apartment block;

  • gated estate;

  • complex;

  • shopping centre; or

  • security-controlled property,

please ensure that the courier can gain reasonable access.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that:

  • security is informed where necessary;

  • access codes are available;

  • reception can accept deliveries; and

  • the provided contact number is reachable.

16. DELIVERY CONFIRMATION

A courier's electronic proof of delivery, signature, delivery photograph, GPS confirmation or other reasonable delivery record may be used as evidence that a parcel was delivered.

If you believe that a parcel marked as delivered was not received, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can investigate with the courier.

17. DELAYED ORDERS

Although we aim to deliver within the estimated timeframes, occasional delays may occur.

Delays may result from:

  • courier disruptions;

  • adverse weather;

  • high order volumes;

  • road closures;

  • load-shedding or infrastructure disruptions;

  • strikes;

  • civil unrest;

  • security incidents;

  • warehouse delays;

  • public holidays;

  • supply-chain interruptions; or

  • other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where an order is significantly delayed, we will attempt to assist and investigate with the courier.

18. LOST PARCELS

If a parcel appears to be lost in transit, please contact us.

We may need to open an investigation with the courier before determining the appropriate remedy.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, the outcome may include:

  • locating and delivering the original parcel;

  • sending a replacement; or

  • issuing an appropriate refund.

Customers should not submit multiple simultaneous claims regarding the same parcel.

19. PARCEL MARKED DELIVERED BUT NOT RECEIVED

If courier tracking shows that your order was delivered but you cannot locate it:

  1. check with family members or other people at the delivery address;

  2. check reception or security;

  3. check with neighbours where appropriate;

  4. verify the delivery address on your order confirmation; and

  5. contact us promptly.

We will investigate the delivery record with the courier.

A courier investigation may include reviewing:

  • delivery scans;

  • GPS information;

  • signatures;

  • photographs;

  • driver records; and

  • other proof-of-delivery information.

20. DAMAGED PARCELS

If your parcel arrives damaged, please take photographs before discarding the packaging.

Where possible, photograph:

  • the outer package;

  • courier label;

  • damaged packaging;

  • internal packaging;

  • affected product; and

  • any visible damage.

Contact us at:

kajalmaharajshop@gmail.com

Please include your order number and photographs.

The matter will be handled in accordance with our Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy and applicable consumer law.

21. MISSING ITEMS

If your order arrives but an item is missing, please contact us as soon as possible.

Include:

  • your order number;

  • the items received;

  • the item believed to be missing; and

  • photographs of the parcel and packaging where possible.

We may review fulfilment and packing records before resolving the claim.

22. WRONG PRODUCT RECEIVED

If you receive a product that you did not order, please contact us.

Do not use or dispose of the incorrect product until we have provided instructions.

Where the error is ours, we will arrange the appropriate remedy and reasonable associated return arrangements.

23. SPLIT SHIPMENTS

Orders containing multiple items may occasionally be dispatched separately.

This can happen where:

  • products are stored at different locations;

  • one item requires different fulfilment;

  • products become available at different times; or

  • logistics considerations make separate shipment necessary.

Where this occurs, you may receive multiple tracking numbers.

You will not ordinarily be charged additional shipping simply because we choose to split a qualifying order into multiple shipments.

24. PRE-ORDERS

Products marked Pre-Order will have an expected availability or dispatch period displayed where possible.

Any stated pre-order date is an estimate and may change due to:

  • manufacturing;

  • import delays;

  • supplier delays;

  • customs;

  • shipping;

  • quality-control issues; or

  • other circumstances.

If there is a material delay, we will communicate with affected customers where reasonably practicable.

25. OUT-OF-STOCK ITEMS

Although our inventory systems are designed to reflect stock availability, rare stock discrepancies may occur.

If a purchased product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we may:

  • contact you with an estimated restock date;

  • offer an alternative;

  • dispatch the available portion of the order; or

  • issue an appropriate refund for the unavailable product.

We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.

26. COLLECTION

If local collection becomes available, details will be displayed during checkout or on the Website.

Customers should not arrive at our premises to collect an order unless:

  • collection has been offered;

  • the order has been confirmed as ready; and

  • collection instructions have been provided.

27. DIGITAL PRODUCTS ARE NOT SHIPPED

Digital products do not require physical delivery.

This includes:

  • eBooks;

  • digital guides;

  • downloadable resources;

  • templates;

  • digital workbooks;

  • online course materials; and

  • similar products.

Digital products are normally delivered electronically after payment.

If your order contains both digital and physical products, the digital component may be delivered immediately while the physical products follow the normal shipping process.

28. FORCE MAJEURE AND EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

We will not be responsible for unreasonable failure or delay caused by circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control.

These may include:

  • natural disasters;

  • severe weather;

  • floods;

  • fires;

  • public unrest;

  • strikes;

  • national emergencies;

  • government restrictions;

  • telecommunications failures;

  • major power disruptions;

  • courier network failures; or

  • significant supply-chain interruptions.

Where such an event occurs, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact on affected orders.

29. FRAUD AND DELIVERY SECURITY

For customer and business protection, certain orders may be subject to additional verification before dispatch.

We may request reasonable verification where:

  • transaction information appears inconsistent;

  • unusually high-value purchases are made;

  • fraud-prevention systems flag a transaction; or

  • we reasonably suspect unauthorised payment activity.

Verification may delay dispatch.

We reserve the right to cancel transactions where we reasonably believe payment fraud or unlawful activity is involved, subject to applicable law.

30. DELIVERY RISK AND CONSUMER RIGHTS

Responsibility for delivery will be handled in accordance with applicable South African law.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to improperly transfer risk to a consumer where the law places delivery responsibility on the supplier.

Where goods are lost, damaged or incorrectly supplied before lawful delivery to the customer, we will handle the matter in accordance with applicable consumer-protection requirements.

31. CUSTOMER SUPPORT

32. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Shipping & Delivery Policy from time to time to reflect changes to:

  • courier providers;

  • delivery methods;

  • service areas;

  • Website functionality;

  • business operations; or

  • applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will always be displayed on our Website.
